You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge.The RoleAs the Plant Maintenance Fitter, you are integral to the success of V/Lines Network Development Asset and Maintenance Team.You will be responsible for maintaining V/Lines plant, equipment and vehicles in a safe and reliable condition to meet V/Lines operating requirements.Key Accountabilities Include:Prioritising, programming and performing maintenance and repair tasks on plant and vehicles used by Gangs throughout the State of Victoria.Troubleshooting problems and recurring faults. Arranging modifications to plant in consultation with the Plant Maintenance Supervisor.Inspecting, maintaining and adjusting plant and vehicles regularly in accordance with established guidelines and recommending maintenance strategies.Certifying plant is fit for use following servicing and repairs.Ensuring quality and safety instructions are complied with.About YouYou will be able to work autonomously and as part of a medium-sized team. This role does involve working a 10 and 4 roster and you must have the ability to travel across our rail network.Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following:Previous industry experience in a similar role is desirable.Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and good knowledge of low voltage electrical circuits and components.Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Maintenance Fitter is essential.Demonstrated alignment to V/Lines values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.If your skills or experience dont exactly match our listed requirements, we still encourage you to apply.
