Operating under the Design Support Contractor (DSC) contract, the Program Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Support System Master Schedule (SSMS) including the notification and monitoring of milestones, events, and activities as they become due and for the development and maintenance of engineering schedules associated with the Program.As the Program Scheduler you will:Manage and implement the Support Services Master Schedule (SSMS) for the Program in accordance with the requirements of the Contract and subordinate plans.Develop and maintain a complex multi-level schedule that can be rolled up to enable reporting at all levels of the CWBS.Responsible for the Phase In Planning and Execution.Provide detailed reports generated from the schedule including a Critical Path Analysis, histograms, Earned Value reports, and look ahead reports.Ensure the level of detail is appropriate to meet internal & external reporting and business needs and support the requirements of the DSC.Liaise directly with the various departments within the DSC to ensure all managers are aware of their responsibilities to meet key dates, milestones, and targets.Support the Program Manager with reporting for the utilization of resources and progress for the development of engineering change activities.Development of the Annual Engineering Working Plan (AEWP), Annual Engineering Working List, and Financial Year Engineering Working Plan.Maintain the Annual Engineering Work Schedule (AEWS).Work and Resource Monitoring.Contribute to the training and development of maintenance planners and schedulers to ensure scheduling is consistent across the different programs within the DSC.As the ideal candidate, you will have:Technical Background with a specialty in Planning & Scheduling.Proven skills and experience in complex Work Planning and Scheduling.Experience working in life cycle costing and risk management frameworks.Knowledge of project management processes.Desirable to have a Defence or Marine background and knowledge of ship maintenance and sustainment programs.Very strong interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business.Australian Citizenship holding or eligible for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance.What it''s like to work with Navantia AustraliaNavantia Australia plays a key part in the Australian government''s Naval Shipbuilding Plan.
