The Qantas Groups main business is the transportation of customers and freight using two complementary airline brands Qantas and Jetstar operating regional, domestic, and international services.Job DescriptionDrive collaboration with the QDP team to revamp documentation, and deliver fast, effective solutions and training.Create and deliver region-specific training, gather feedback, and uphold corporate standards globally.12-month fixed term opportunity based at our Head Office in Mascot.The Qantas Agency Connect Trainer is a key role responsible for creating and delivering training to Qantas Agency Connect, Sales Support and GSA teams globally on all facets of Qantas New Distribution Capability (NDC) ensuring teams are confident to provide assistance and guidance to all customers who are on the Qantas NDC journey.This role will deliver training to approximately 200 staff globally and involves evaluating team competencies, identifying development needs, and designing training programs with a primary focus on NDC and its relationship to Qantas fares, processes, and policies. Responsibilities include creating and updating training materials, coordinating sessions with key stakeholders, and implementing various training methods.The position also requires collaboration with the Qantas Distribution Platform (QDP) team to stay updated on developments, ensuring team readiness to assist agency partners. Additionally, the role involves assessing training effectiveness through feedback, surveys, and performance tracking. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging stakeholders, delivering impactful training, and fostering a professional and collaborative work environment while adhering to corporate and divisional service standards.Key Responsibilities may include:Developing Training Programs including regularly evaluating competencies across teams and identifying areas of development.Create & continuously update training manuals, handouts and instructional materials specifically with a primary focus on NDC and its relationship to Qantas fares, processes and policies.Evaluate training requirements through training needs analysis of QF staff dealing with indirect servicing.Create, plan & implement training programs to deliver structured training sessions using various training methods including both group and one-to-one scenarios.Work collaboratively with Qantas Distribution Platform (QDP) team to keep up to date on latest developments to design and update required training.Assess required training and prioritize training activities to ensure team members are equipped with knowledge and skills to assist our agency partners when required.Become an SME on NDC including technology partners, functionality and benefits of NDC vs GDS (EDIFACT).Evaluating effectiveness by tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of training programs in coordination with Principal Business Analyst, as required, as well as developing surveys, questionnaires, and quizzes to measure team progress.Work collaboratively with key stakeholders within QAC and GSAs to obtain and utilize feedback to ensure all training is effective and fit for purpose.Youll have:At least 2 years selling experience in a travel agency or airline role.Sound knowledge of Australian domestic and international air fares.Experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and preferably NDC.Proven training experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills including highly developed presentation skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a constantly changing operational environment.Literacy with Microsoft Office suite to an intermediate level.Why Qantas?Youll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
