Dyers Distribution is a family-owned company that has been providing quality transport services since 1932. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals. Based at our Northern suburbs site, the position is full-time. An excellent salary package is available to the successful applicant.This role would be ideally suited to an ambitious and energetic person with sound logistics, distribution, and ideally FMCG experience. Your role would involve supervising a fleet of modern vehicles and subcontractors across South Australian sites, delivering ambient and refrigerated fast-moving consumer goods to distribution centres, including metro & regional sites.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you would be responsible for:Supervising a team of regular and relief driversDIFOT in line with temperature control guidelinesSupervising drivers delivering remotelyReverse LogisticsScheduling and allocation of jobs/orders/runs/loads utilising a TMSLiaising directly with Customers Transport Managers and SupervisorsMaintaining delivery and driver schedulesUtilising IT systems GPS, temperature monitoring, TMS, HACCP, etc.Administrative duties including TMS housekeepingCoordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and requests for repairsTeam involvement with audits, driver training, and implementing corrective actionsEnsuring all company policies and procedures are followed, including conducting safety meetings, safety reporting, safety incident investigations, and Toolbox talksPreferred skills and qualifications:Previous experience in supervising a large distribution, multi-drop transport, or distribution operationExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet strict deadlinesUnderstanding of COR requirementsExcellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the organisationAbility to lead and manage teams effectivelyCommercial acumenStrong knowledge of systems, processes, and controls required to maintain operational excellenceExcellent computer skills with an ability to use Microsoft Office programs and the company''s proprietary softwareThe successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, which includes drug and alcohol screening.If you are excited about these opportunities and have the desired skills and attributes for this role, or have worked in a similar role, please apply directly on SEEK by uploading your cover letter and resume that highlights your relevant experience.If you require assistance with uploading your details (cover letter and resume), please contact Dyers Distribution, Human Resources Administration by emailing dyershr@dyers.com.au #J-18808-Ljbffr
