Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) is looking for a caring, dedicated and experienced individual to join our Boarding Program as a Head of House and Teacher in the Senior School (Years 7-12) to commence Term 3, 2025.The Head of House provides a supportive and aspirational environment, in which the wellbeing and interests of each individual boy are nurtured, enabling him to develop his character and be the best he can be. Our teachers are passionate about boys education and providing an inspiring and broad curriculum for all boys informed by best practice and evidence.About TGSTGS was founded in 1875. It is an independent non-denominational day and boarding school for boys with a total enrolment of 1,200 from Preparatory to Year 12. There are approximately 300 boarders in the School coming predominantly from throughout Queensland, Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The Schools campus covers 20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from the centre of Toowoomba.It is our vision that our boys will graduate from TGS with the skills to be independent, well-balanced, and successful in life. Corfe House is home to our youngest boarders in Years 5 to 7. At Corfe boarding house, the Head of House resides with their family within the boarding house itself. This close proximity enables the Head of House to oversee the boys in a manner akin to a home environment, fostering strong connections with each boy.The Boarding Head of House is a key appointment in ensuring that the School fulfills its essential pastoral care role. Led by the Director of Boarding, the Head of House Corfe provides a supportive and aspirational environment, in which the wellbeing and interests of each individual boy are nurtured, enabling him to develop his character, and be the best he can be.An integral part of the TGS Boarding Community, our Head of House Corfe is essential to the well-being of our boarding students. They are the people the boys will often open their hearts to. This important relationship is essential for the care of all students, including their physical and emotional well-being.TGS provides a highly developed residential setting where boys love to board and where academic care and leadership development are core.
