Special Hazards Fire Safety SpecialistArups purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.Our Special Hazards team within Arups Resilience, Security & Risk (RSR) department is looking for a Senior Engineer to drive impactful projects in fire safety and special hazards. This role focuses on providing innovative fire safety solutions for high-risk sectors including data centres, laboratories, and renewable energy projects. If you have a strong background in fire risk, dangerous goods, and fire consequence assessments, we invite you to be part of a leading multidisciplinary team.The OpportunityLead complex projects involving special hazards, fire systems, and dangerous goods.Engage with clients and stakeholders to deliver integrated, innovative fire safety solutions.Provide technical expertise on fire risk identification and risk-based engineering approaches.Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and skills development.Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems within the RSR team.Is this role right for you?Expertise in fire risk, dangerous goods, and process safety, particularly in high-risk environments.Recognised qualifications in Engineering, preferably Fire Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.Demonstrated experience in managing fire safety projects involving hazardous materials and fire consequence assessments.Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and drive client-centric outcomes.Commitment to continuous learning, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.What we offer youAt Arup, we care about each members success, so we can grow together.
