Chifley Square, Sydney NSW 2000, AustraliaPosted Thursday 6 February 2025 at 1:00 pmAbout the roleThis full-time 12-month contract is based in our Chifley Square Head office and reporting into the Program Manager. The Application Test Analyst role will be responsible for understanding business requirements to create test scripts and perform testing on business applications to ensure QA on the code development.This position will be responsible for testing various business applications, including but not limited to CRM, Financial systems, Websites, and other business-critical systems.The successful candidate will also be expected to actively contribute to the development of a culture within NSWBC ICT of service management and service improvement across the end-to-end supply chain of ICT service delivery.Key Responsibilities:Business requirements analysesDay-to-day delivery of high-quality ICT customer experienceCreating test scenarios and test execution plansConfiguration of Test Environments, test data preparation, and execution of test casesConduct user workshops, reviews, and showcasesDefect loggingCoordination with Applications team for deploymentsEnsure activities are fully documented within the relevant reporting system(s)To be Successful in this role, you will:Tertiary qualification in a relevant area of ICT with a minimum of 5 years of application testing experienceBasic Foundations Course in ITILExperience working as an in-house tester or for a testing companyUnderstanding of best-practice ICT service management frameworks and ICT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)Knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programsUp-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologiesExperience in one or more of the following applications would be beneficial, but not mandatory: Microsoft CRM, Adobe-based websites, Technology #1 FinancialsExperience working with JIRA and ConfluenceExperience working in an Agile environmentBasic programming knowledge with the ability to learn different applicationsDemonstrate organisational and time management expertiseProven ability to work creatively and analytically in a fast-paced problem-solving environmentAbout the businessBusiness NSW is an Australian independent, not-for-profit membership organisation that identifies the key issues impacting business and finds practical policy solutions to ensure businesses across New South Wales prosper and grow.
