Welcome to Museums Victoria (MV), where we care for the states scientific and cultural collections, and every day brings new opportunities to inspire, challenge, and educate.About the Position:The purpose of this position is to develop and deliver engaging curriculum-based education programs with a STEM and digital focus for Catholic schools and teachers from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern region. The Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA) has formed a strategic partnership with Museums Victoria (MV) focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and digital programs. This role delivers on that partnership.Some of the Key Duties Include:Liaise with MV and VCEA staff, teachers, community groups and other stakeholders to research, develop and deliver curriculum-based programs and professional learning in STEM and digital disciplines in accordance with MVs objectives and priorities, and consistent with current DET and VCEA curriculum, meeting the learning needs of target audiences Catholic schools and teachers from Prep to Year 12.Co-ordinate and deliver Design Sprint events at Scienceworks, STEM activities, presentations and professional learning sessions for Catholic education groups and teachers.Develop and present STEM teacher professional learning sessions onsite at MV, online, and at teacher conferences or Catholic schools.Provide advice on STEM and digital learning methodology, online learning, student engagement and learning styles to relevant museum staff and identify opportunities to incorporate and improve STEM and digital programs across venues, online and in a range of contexts.The Successful Applicant Will Have:Experience in research, development and delivery of STEM, and/or design and digital programs for education audiences.Proven ability to develop innovative curriculum materials and/or Professional Learning sessions for teachers.Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and events, ensuring that targets and objectives are achieved within agreed timeframes.Sound knowledge of the curriculum areas of STEM and digital technologies in Prep to Year 12 and awareness of current issues in an education and museum context.Proven ability to engage with and present to relevant stakeholders including; students, teachers, professional teaching organisations, and/or school communities and to communicate with and present to a broad range of individuals and groups.Other Information:The successful applicant will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check. #J-18808-Ljbffr
