Hamilton Island owns and operates our electrical distribution network through underwater sub stations powered from a 22km-long underwater power cable from the mainland and operates a powerhouse, housing diesel generators.Your RoleA unique opportunity exists for an Electrical Services Technician! This valuable role contributes as a member of a team to perform installation and commissioning, maintenance and repairs of Hamilton Islands electrical distribution network in a timely manner, ensuring a high standard of product quality and safety.Handle the maintenance High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical networks including our 12-Megawatt Diesel Generation PlantTest and repair airport runway lighting for smooth landingsPerform auditing on new installationsPrioritise urgent repairs for guest safety and satisfactionForm part of an on-call roster rotation that promptly addresses out of hours breakdowns as necessaryTasked with the upkeep and repair of hazardous area equipment, specifically the islands fuel systemsKeep our water and sewerage plants in tip top shapeRead and test the islands electrical usage metersWhats in it for you?Use your days off to recharge your batteries, exploring hidden trails, be in or out on the water, soak up the sun or just relax and enjoy the island vibes.
