Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our team at our Fulfillment Centre (FC) in Horsley Park, Sydney.The focus of the Maintenance Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.This is a full-time hourly role based on night shift patterns.Key job responsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.A day in the lifeOur RME Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. Youll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites equipment to make sure its working safely. As an RME Technician, youll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. Youll also make suggestions for long-term improvements. Working alongside senior colleagues, youll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.Minimum RequirementsFormal trade qualifications: Cert III In Electrotechnology/Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings.Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.
