Required5 full-time Maintenance Farm Hands are required on a cattle farm starting March across properties in Curlewis, NSW. Workers must be available to work on a rotating roster, generally 10 days on and 4 days off. Hours of work will vary daily with the demands, generally 6AM-4PM, including weekend and additional overtime work. This work is primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.Duties include, but are not limited to:Livestock handling. Breeding & raising livestock to produce meat.Carry out farm equipment repairs and modifications.General farming & feeding activities such as maintaining pens, sheds, fertilising, controlling pests and weeds, and growing fodders.Maintenance - fencing, repairs & water supply system.Drive, maintain & operate farm vehicles and machinery.Record Keeping i.e., stock numbers, chemical books, diesel quantities.Use of chemicals.Wages will be under the Pastoral Award 2020 as Level 3 permanent full-time and starting on $24.44 per hour. Workers must be available for the full duration. You will need reliable transport. It is essential that you are able to work flexible hours as rosters will vary. You must be reliable and committed and have the ability to work quickly and accurately. Due to the high physical demands of these positions, workers will need to be physically fit and self-motivated. You may be on your feet for extended periods and required to perform repetitive manual tasks.
