APS5 Senior Tribunal Officer & APS6 Team LeaderApplications Close: 16/02/2025 11:45 PMOccupation: Legal, RegistryLocation: Canberra Metropolitan, Sydney Metropolitan, Brisbane Metropolitan, Adelaide Metropolitan, Hobart Metropolitan, Melbourne Metropolitan, Perth Metropolitan, Darwin MetropolitanWork Type: Ongoing - Full Time, Non-ongoing - Full TimeThe Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is seeking applications for APS5 Senior Tribunal Officer and APS6 Team Leader positions across all of our state CBD locations to support the Case Management, User Services and Member Support sections.These positions are available primarily on a full-time ongoing basis; however, non-ongoing and part-time working arrangements can also be considered.Note:Vacancies in the User Services and Member Support sections may be location specific.About the ART:The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) plays a crucial role in the Australian legal landscape, providing a process for individuals and organisations to seek an independent review of decisions made under a wide range of Commonwealth laws.What we offer:Flexible working options, including flexi-time and remote working.Competitive salary including generous superannuation employer contribution of 15.4%.Salary packaging options.Gym membership payment plan.Supportive career development opportunities.Holistic health and wellbeing support including free annual influenza vaccinations and free eye tests.Christmas to New Year office closure with no deduction from your leave balance.Employee Assistance Program for you and your family.Positive and inclusive culture.About the opportunities:Senior Tribunal Officers:(APS5) $82,616 - $87,608 per annum + 15.4% superannuationSupport and work in collaboration with the Team Leader to manage the operations of the registry, including allocation and monitoring of work and rostering of team duties, managing a caseload which may include significant and/or complex matters, provide administrative assistance and support to members and staff, and facilitate training of staff.The successful candidates will have the ability to acquire and maintain a general working knowledge of the Tribunals functions, policies and procedures and apply this knowledge in undertaking case-related functions.About you:Advanced working knowledge, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of applicable legislation, policies and procedures, and ability to exercise sound judgement in applying this knowledge.Demonstrated ability to provide training, guidance, and quality assurance practices to support staff development.Well-developed ability to plan, organise and monitor individual and teamwork priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deal effectively with a diverse client base and complex client situations.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with other leaders to support effective leadership of a team.Team Leaders:(APS6) $90,199 - $102,499 per annum + 15.4% superannuationThe role of Team Leader provides leadership and direction to a registry team, including coordinating and managing workflows, motivating, coaching and influencing staff; managing performance; and ensuring the services provided to the ARTs users, members and registrars are effective and efficient.You will work in one or more divisions of the ART and use your expertise in ART procedures and jurisdictions to train staff and manage complex cases or specific interactions with users.Please refer to the Position Descriptions for more information about the requirements of the individual roles.About you:Well-developed leadership skills including ability to think strategically, manage team and individual performance, develop capability and capacity, and drive change.Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.Excellent analytical and technical skills, including the ability to provide expert advice on complex issues.Desirable:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field OR relevant experience in a similar work environment OR subject-matter expertise related to one or more of the ARTs jurisdictions.More information about these positions, the scope of the roles, duties and required capabilities and experience, is contained within the Position Descriptions, available from the careers page of our website.How to apply:To be considered, all applications must be submitted online via the ART website.
