Your New ChapterAt VetPartners, we pride ourselves on delivering shared services support that drives success for our veterinary clinics. This role features three days in the office to promote collaboration, build strong connections, and enhance team engagement. This role is a part-time, fixed-term contract.As the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing, preparing, and reporting financial data for the VetPartners Group. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide expertise in financial accountability while also supporting general accounting functions. With strong customer service skills, you will have the opportunity to lead process improvement initiatives within the team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, where multi-tasking and prioritization are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general accounting duties, including prepayments and accruals.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FBT, BAS, and IRD.Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and highlight variances to the Finance Manager.Review and reconcile clinic P&Ls and allocate wholesaler invoices.Manage intercompany accounting and clearing account reconciliations.Support year-end audit processes and liaise with auditors.Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, controls, and systems.Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.Skills, Attributes, and Experience:Experience in a multi-site, high-volume finance role, ideally across Australia and New Zealand.CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards one).Previous experience in a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and high attention to detail.High level of computer literacy and proficiency in financial systems.A team player who collaborates effectively while also working independently.Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize workloads in a dynamic environment.Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to drive innovation and process improvements.Why VetPartners?At VetPartners, we''re more than just a company we''re a family united by our passion for animal welfare and excellence in veterinary care.
