GA 2023)This is a permanent part-time (0.88 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025Woodvale Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a Cleaner in Charge to join their friendly team.For more than 30 years, our school has been guided by our commitment to ensuring that every student is a successful, independent learner and every teacher is an excellent teacher. At Woodvale PS our vision is to build positive relationships, develop 21st century learners and celebrate students'' progress and successes.The Cleaner in Charge is responsible for opening and closing the school, carrying out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, drinking troughs and other items of general cleaning.In addition to this, the Cleaner In Charge will also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs, other general cleaning, and other such duties as required. Additionally, they will be required to complete vacation cleaning duties, which will include window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas, and other such duties as required.The successful applicant will ideally have experience in supervising staff, as they will work alongside school staff and manage staff performance in consultation with the Manager Corporate Services. In addition, the Cleaner in Charge will liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters, and record and respond to issues and concerns. They will maintain the cleaners time book, arrange relief staff, be responsible for monitoring and ordering stock supplies and stocktake of cleaning resources.In this role you will ideally have good attention to detail and will be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment.
