Overview:Full-time, Continuing positionSalary Academic T2 T5 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working ArrangementsBased at the Melbourne CBD campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the UniversityAbout YouAs a Vocational Education (VE) Teacher specializing in Dental, Massage, and Myotherapy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aspiring professionals. Your key responsibilities will encompass delivering engaging and comprehensive course material, evaluating student progress, and providing guidance to those enrolled in our selected programs within the School.In addition to your teaching duties, you will actively contribute to the continuous enhancement of our curriculum, refining course content, teaching methodsincluding innovative online deliveryand assessment techniques to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education.You will also forge valuable connections with external organizations, industry groups, and colleagues from RMITs teaching and administration teams. Your success in this role will be driven by your commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring that your vocational expertise not only meets but exceeds the standards of excellence we uphold in education. Join us in making a lasting impact on the next generation of professionals!To be successful in this position, youll have:Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills.Skills and experience in competency-based assessment.Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge.Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions.Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.QualificationsA qualification in the TAE 40122 (TAE40116) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult education.Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Dental Assisting.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.College of Vocational EducationThe purpose of RMITs College of Vocational Education is to empower learners and our industry, community and government partners to succeed in the new world of work.
