Our innovative high altitude airship is designed to operate in the stratosphere day and night, providing persistent services and coverage in an area.The OpportunityWe are seeking Remote Pilots and Ground Crew for our stratospheric flights in 2025 and beyond.As a remote pilot, you will be working within the flight and operations teams to prepare, launch, fly and retrieve our airship during flight missions.As part of our ground crew team, you will be working hands on within the operations team to prepare, launch and retrieve our airship during flight missions.We require remote pilots and ground crew initially on a casual basis who are available to travel throughout Australia for short durations at a time.Your RoleAs a Remote Pilot, you will:Remotely pilot a large airship;Follow operational procedures and training;Work collaboratively with co-workers, managers, the broader team, and external stakeholders;Participate in training activities. Training activities will be held remotely, on the job at our flight test location in central Queensland or at our Brisbane location;Assist with Ground Crew duties, such as packing and setup of the airship, running errands, ground handling prior to flight, recovery, and other similar duties.As a member of the Ground Crew team, you will:Pack the airship for transportation;Set up the airship, perform ground handling, and recovery of the airship;Run errands and transport goods;Follow operational procedures and training;Work collaboratively with co-workers, managers, the broader team, and external stakeholders;Participate in training activities. Training activities will be on the job at our flight test location in central Queensland or at our Brisbane location.About YouThe required skills for a Remote Pilot are:A Flight Crew Licence (PPL/CPL/ATPL) or an RPAS licence in one category;A pass in IREX or hold a Command Instrument Rating.Other skills that may be advantageous include:IFR, controlled airspace, or complex RPAS experience;Experience in aviation or aerospace. This could be any experience, including, but not limited to, engineering, building, maintaining, or working with weather balloons;Being comfortable working and staying in remote locations;A full Australian drivers licence or truck licence;Teamwork, attention to detail and positive risk awareness.There are no required skills for our Ground Crew role. Skills that may be advantageous include:Experience in aviation or aerospace.
