Office Support Manager (APS6), National Property and Office Servicessalary: $92,210 - $104,135 (plus 15.4% super and allowances)location: Perth CBDpermanent position; full-time or part-time hours (minimum four days per week)The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking to fill the role of Office Support Manager within the National Property and Offices Services Section, based in Perth.About the RoleOffice Services is a national network of local teams dedicated to providing excellence in corporate support to each ABS office and are part of the National Property & Office Services Section. Our work allows office staff to concentrate on the core business of statistics in a safe, healthy, secure and flexible environment.The key requirements of the position are to manage operational tasks in the Perth Office and assist with property and office services national programs. The Office Support Manager reports to an interstate Assistant Director.Local Perth Office responsibilities include managing a small team to deliver:day-to-day management of office facilitiesadminister the ABS workplace health and safety proceduresadminister local emergency management procedures and response requirementsphysical office securitysupervising external stakeholders accessing key statistical information prior to releaseinduction and separation of local office staffproviding an office contact point for staff and visitors/contractors.What we are looking for (selection criteria)To be suitable you should have most of the following skills, qualities and experience:a working knowledge of facilities management including WHS, emergency management, environment, contractor management, and office securitydemonstrated good decision-making skills under limited guidanceable to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders providing a results-oriented serviceable to understand and follow established procedures to deliver quality outcomesable to lead a small local team and work in a geographically dispersed national teamexperience with Microsoft office applications including Excel, and ability to quickly understand and operate other supporting administrative software and systems.How to ApplyPlease read the attached Applicant Information Kit and ABS Recruitment Guide for more information about the role and the business area.You will need to upload your current resume, provide referee details and respond to the following:Referring to the qualities, skills and experiences (outlined in section 1 of the Applicant Information Kit), and in no more than 500 words, tell us why you are the ideal person for this role and the ABS.
