We provide customer-focused services across the full range of the HR spectrum (operational and transactional) to the Managers and Staff of the Baker Institute and AMREP AS (a Baker subsidiary).The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) coaches and provides expert advice, support, and care across Baker Institute to ensure a positive and value-add Human Resources experience. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. The HRBP will have a strong understanding of and able to interpret the Baker Institute Enterprise Agreement (EA) and the ability to interpret, and advise on legislation, together with internal policies and procedures. The HRBP is adaptable and agile with a growth mindset and has confidence in the provision of advice to People Leaders (Managers), their teams, and other key stakeholders.This is a true HR BP liaising with an amazing group of stakeholders. There is scope to make the role your own and help drive future HR initiatives supporting the General Manager, HR.Key DutiesLiaise with key stakeholders to manage and deliver an effective and proactive HR business partnering solutions within the organisation and mitigate risks.Take a business partnering approach to all HR initiatives and work with the People Leaders/Managers to implement and support their teams.Coach leaders through resolution of employee relations matters, conflict resolution, discipline matters, team interventions, unsatisfactory performance and other People related matters that arise.Provide advice to People Leaders and employees on EA and legislation and policies and practices.Manage internal investigations.Coordinate L&D training programmes in a way that motivates and informs attendees of whats happening to support their journey at Baker Institute.Skills and Experience:You will have:Relevant experience or qualifications (degree level preferred) in Human Resources or a related discipline.Previous experience (minimum 3 years) in a HR generalist role with strong business partnering skills.Excellent understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) Modern Awards & EAs.HRIS experience (TechOne or similar)An ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels with the capacity to advise and influence others to achieve positive outcomes.A customer centric approach with a passion for making a positive impact on people experience.A pro-active, flexible attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with the immediate and wider team.A growth mindset with the confidence to provide advice to People Leaders their teams, and other key stakeholders on all people related matters.Solution-focussed approach with experience in driving continuous improvements and best practice.Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management skills with the ability to multitask competing demands.Outstanding consulting and communication skills combined with excellent writing skills.Working at the Baker Institute offers generous salary packaging, an employee assistance program, staff gym, and an active social club as well as modern offices and laboratories adjacent to the Alfred Hospital and within walking distance to St Kilda Road, Chapel Street, and Fawkner Park.How to ApplyApplications should include a current resume quoting reference (AC03).
