To provide you some local context, some of the programs our team are proud to be a part of involve:Providing emergency medical and search & rescue aviation services through our Aviation & Critical Services business;Designing and supporting key systems for submarines and surface ships through our Marine business;Managing critical assets for a range of sectors through our Land Business.About the roleAn opportunity currently exists for a Rescue Crew Officer to join our Aviation & Critical Services team on a full-time basis, supporting our operations in Rockhampton.As part of this role you will:Conduct safe flight operations complying with CASA, contractual and company policies and procedures;Report promptly on all operations and maintenance deficiencies;Complete pre-flight and post-flight documentation;Conduct rescue operations over land and water in accordance with Company policies and procedures;Assist the Aircrew Officer and Medical Transport Specialists when required;Report flight safety related issues;Maintain readiness of operational role equipment;Assist with the ongoing maintenance and inspection of base facilities;Maintain high personal and professional standards at all times to reflect positively on our Company and our partners;Conduct aircraft flight preparation and post-flight husbandry;Ensure security and safe configuration of cabin and equipment; andOther tasks as designated by the Base Manager or Chief Aircrew Officer.About YouCurrent CASA Class II Medical Certificate;Current Senior First Aid/ Advanced Resuscitation Certificate;HUET/ HUET with EBS Qualified;A high level of physical fitness;Ability to pass an initial fitness test consisting of the following elements:Carry 15kg a distance of 2 km in under 20 mins;20 continuous push-ups in under 2 mins;8 sec hang test;700m swim in less than 16 mins (no fins);300m finning on your back in less than 10 mins in full gear;100m survivor tow non-stop in full gearTread water 10 minsBe able to proactively maintain a high level of fitness autonomouslyBe able to work as part of a small teamMeet the requirements of the Queensland Health Preventable Diseases Policy; andAbility to relocate to Rockhampton.Rotary wing experienceB412 and AW139 experience will be highly regardedAVI30216 Certificate III in Aviation (Rescue Crew Officer)Your future at Babcock what we offer youWhat sets us apart at Babcock?Babcock offers a supportive and engaging environment where you can drive change and grow your career;We promote and foster training and development;Central to Babcocks core values are those of health, safety and environment, and diversity;The opportunity to be a part of something BIG!So if you would like to be part of the Babcock team, then please apply via the Apply Now button below. #J-18808-Ljbffr
