Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining cutting-edge air traffic management systems, you will have the chance to be part of something exciting and new.The roleThe Senior System Engineer Air Traffic Management (ATM) will contribute to the ATM engineering team in the tender, execution and delivery phases of ATM projects. They will act as the interface between ATM product design authority system developers, Saab-internal project and support teams, and the customer, in order to deliver product improvements and project-specific tasks.They will undertake requirements analysis, develop requirement specifications and participate in the design and validation of new solutions. To be successful in this role, they will be highly motivated, think critically to solve problems, and have a keen interest in working with complex software systems, preferably within the ATM domain.Further, the successful candidate will:Contribute to the realisation of ATM projectsMap customer requirements to system solutions based on Saabs ATM product portfolioCoordinate with product software development and parameterisation teams to specify, design, develop and verify customer-specific solutionsDevelop external interface specifications, system design documents and acceptance test documentsPresent at customer requirements reviews and design reviewsConfigure, integrate and test the system in factory and on siteAbout youYour skills and experience will include:5+ years Air Traffic Management domain expertiseIn-depth knowledge of infrastructure, network, network security, XML and LinuxKnowledge of virtualisation technologiesSystems Engineering process, including requirements derivation, management, system design, integration, test and validation relating to ATM softwareReviewing and interpreting specifications, interface documentation and drawingsResolution of complex technical issues and managing them within project cost, time and quality constraintsWriting clear and precise technical reportsWell-developed verbal communication skills and the ability to work with others in a team environmentWhole of capability/systems issues, including consideration of ATM Safety, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), cybersecurity and system supportabilityApplicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and retain a baseline security clearance.About usSaab Australia is a defence, security and cyber solutions provider, specialising in the development and integration of major defence and security systems.
