Senior Site Quality Assurance CoordinatorNorco have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Quality Assurance Coordinator to join the team at our recently rebuilt ice cream manufacturing site at Lismore!The Senior Site Quality Assurance Coordinator is primarily responsible for implementing Norcos quality strategy at our Lismore site and ensuring that our products are safe, defect-free, and manufactured to specification. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the sites laboratory is operating efficiently and effectively and meets Norco and applicable external standards.In this role, you will report to Norcos Quality Assurance Manager and will also work closely with the Norco Lismore site leadership team.Why should you join the team at Norco?Work for a successful and reputable Australian companyBe a part of a friendly, supportive, and hardworking teamBe rewarded with a competitive remuneration packageContinue to grow and develop your skills through coaching and development opportunitiesAccess to our free and confidential Employee Assistance ProgramKey Duties and Responsibilities include:Implement and lead the quality strategy for the Lismore site.Maintain an effective Quality Management System for site operations that satisfies all applicable standards.Manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory.Lead recruitment and training, performance management, absence management, and reward and recognition for your team.Lead HACCP revisions and ensure compliance with the site HACCP plans.Complete regular GMP audits of the factory and participate in scheduled internal audits of the site.Hold/release finished product.Review all microbiological and chemical results and action all adverse or erroneous test results.Coordinate second-level examinations on out-of-spec products and ensure corrective actions are completed by the agreed time.Coordinate raw material/packaging inspections and release.Coordinate sensory evaluation panel for finished products.Lead and participate in external accreditation audits.Lead and drive initiatives such as staff training, internal auditing, and root cause analysis that deliver improvements to the sites quality measures and overall quality standards.Lead by example and coach others to create a work culture in line with our Code of Conduct and values.Selection Criteria:Degree in Science (Food Science/Microbiology/Chemistry) or equivalentFood Laboratory experience required, dairy experience highly advantageousExperience leading a team and coaching othersStrong understanding of HACCP and GMP principlesKnowledge in factory hygiene and food microbiologyDemonstrated compliance with Quality/Safety standards, procedures, and practicesStrong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word and ExcelA safety-first mindsetWillingness to learn new skills and be adaptableWe are a co-operative success story with a long rich history in Australia.
