If you are Civil Estimator with road, pavement and wearing surface experience, Ventias Road Transport Team would love to hear from you. In this role you will lead and prepare tenders for road construction and maintenance opportunities, including estimates for existing contract program of works. Flexible / hybrid working arrangements are available.Ventias Road Transport Team currently operates three major long-term road and pavement asset contracts, providing road maintenance, asset management services, design and road reconstruction services across the South East Queensland region. The Transport team currently operates under an 8-year program of works, providing: asset management; design; and construction of road rehabilitation, road safety and road resurfacing projects with varying levels of value to our clients. Key duties include:Analysis of tender documentation and preparation of tender action and accountability plansProvide bid management support and prepare accurate, benchmarked and well-structured estimates for road construction tendersPrepare and issue invitations to tender and assess quotations for compliance to applicable specifications, drawings and contract conditionsReview proposed project programmes prepared for tender for completeness and accuracyActively pursue alternative construction methods / solutions to create competitive tendersMaintain records of tender correspondence, calculations and methodologiesPresent estimates, including basis of estimates, risks and opportunities at tender review meetingsPrepare support estimate analysis and documents/reportsRequired Skills and ExperienceTertiary qualifications preferable (Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar)Proficient in CATS or Expert Estimation or similar estimating softwareProven track record in developing estimates for successful road and civil construction tendersHigh level independence and ability to self-manage the completion of deliverables against hard deadlinesIntermediate to advanced level Microsoft suite of tools user, specifically Excel.You must hold full working rights in Australia.About VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
