The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) is the national regulator of Commonwealth subsidised aged care services. The ACQSCs primary role is to provide end-to-end regulation of aged care providers for the purposes of protecting and enhancing the safety, health, wellbeing and quality of life of older people accessing aged care.The ACQSC aims to ensure that older people and their families can trust and have confidence in the quality and safety of aged care.The RoleReporting directly to the Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, Regulatory Operations, leads the Regulatory Operations Division. This pivotal role oversees the monitoring and enforcement of compliance among approved providers to safeguard the safety, health, wellbeing, and quality of life of aged care consumers. As a strategic leader, you will shape the Divisions direction, ensuring operations align with the Commissions objectives and aged care reforms. You will provide the Commissioner with critical advice on regulatory strategies, leveraging your deep understanding of the aged care sector, its frameworks, and the policies underpinning the Commissions operations. As a senior member of the Executive Leadership Group, you will collaborate across the Commission to implement effective strategies, policies, and processes, fostering collaboration and information-sharing to deliver the Commissions regulatory responsibilities.
