You will be responsible for preparing consistent, high quality food products that support the kitchens operating concepts whilst adhering to the brand standards.Some of the responsibilities include:Prepare, create and present all dishes for client eventsOrganize and set up the assigned section of the kitchen effectively and efficientlyEnsure all operating supplies and food products are sufficiently stocked for a smooth operation of the kitchenMaintain a clean and hygienic work environmentAssist the Chef de Cuisine and the kitchen brigade in ensuring culinary standards comply with company and hotel policies and proceduresQualificationsCertificate in Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent), HACCP & local Food Safety Handling & HygienePrevious experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef in a similar fast-paced, bulk production environmentAbility to work productively and safely at all times with a focus on quality controlExcellent communication and organisational skillsThe flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidaysJoin us at Hyatt and make travel more human.
