The Corporate Financial Reporting Manager, supported by a team, is responsible for day to day management and oversight of Ramsay Australian Operations balance sheet and financial reporting obligations.About the roleLead the review and development of accounting policies and procedures, coordinating and communicating to all sites reporting requirements, as well as providing technical accounting advice across the business and ad-hoc projects.Accountable for Ramsay Australia Head Office and corporate accounting and general ledger maintenance as well as managing and guiding a team of qualified accountants.Key accountabilities and deliverables include but not limited:Head Office & Australian OperationsReview and develop accounting policies for Australia OperationsResponsible for the development of accounting procedures and preparation of accounting position papers.Coordination and review of all accounting deliverables to the Ramsay Global OfficeMonthly Board Report submission for Australia OperationsPreparation of Australian Operations annual statutory reporting obligationsOverall management and coordination of accounting for LeasesProvide technical accounting advice to all areas of the businessSupport ad-hoc projects, such as Joint-Ventures, Acquisitions or Disposals, by providing technical financial adviceOverall responsibility for accounting for rebates and employee entitlements.Head OfficeManage and guide a small team of qualified accountantsReview of Australian Head Office monthly balance sheet reconciliationsProvide accounting support to the Ramsay Hospital Research FoundationReview and Analysis of Hospital Balance Sheet KPIs, and follow up any anomaliesManagement and coordination of external audits in relation to HospitalsRegular communication to Hospital Finance Managers and provide financial accounting advise as requiredProvide support to Pharmacy and Linear Medical Finance teamsStatutory & Half Yearly ReportingPrepare Half yearly reporting instructions to all Hospital Sites, Pharmacy and Linear MedicalCoordination of Half Year and Year End external auditsCoordination of Internal Controls Questionnaire ProcessOversight and review of statutory reporting packs from Hospitals and Corporate operationsPreparation of Australian Operations and Pharmacy Impairment CalculationsReview of individual small entity statutory accountsAbout youQualifications in Financial or Management Accounting disciplines and CA / CPA qualifications3+ years in a managerial positionExperience in a similar role in a large, complex organisationStrong technical accounting knowledgeStrong understanding of internal controls frameworkExposure to preparation of statutory accountsAbility to understand key business processes, identifying key risk and control weaknesses.Ability to critically analyse financial informationHighly developed interpersonal and communication skillsStrong analytical and logical problem solving skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailExperience working in an ASX listed company (desirable)Professional Advancement: Recognition and Professional Development.
