Australian Garnet (AGPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Resource Development Group Limited (RDG), a publicly listed company trading on the ASX. AGPL has been operating our brand-new garnet processing plant, the Lucky Bay Mine for the past 2 years. Our onsite team is responsible for the mining, wet processing, dry and packaging plants, then packed into containers and transported to Perth. The management team and workforce are directly employed by AGPL and the mine site is located approximately 35 kilometres from the Kalbarri township, with a mine life of over 40 years. This is an exciting project.We are currently looking to employ a permanent experienced Process Operator to work at our Lucky Bay mine site.This is preferably a Residential role, either based in Kalbarri, Northampton or Geraldton working 8 days on 6 days off roster. If you dont live in the region but would like to work on a fly in fly out roster for a period and then consider relocating to live locally, then we will work with the right candidate for this challenging role.PRIMARY PURPOSE:To ensure the safe performance of the Processing plant and ensure optimum recovery and product quality is maintained. This role ensures that all processes are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Key responsibilities include:Work SafetyOperate and monitor plant and equipment involved in the garnet processing.Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.Report and coordinate major repairs with maintenance teams.Perform regular sampling within the processing plant.Use control systems to adjust process variables (flow rates, temperature, pressure, etc.).Work closely with Mining, Production & Maintenance teams.Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.Necessary skills and qualifications:At least 3 years experience in a similar role.Experience working in mineral sand processing plants highly desirable.Control room experience with DCS, plant operating software essential.SKILLS & ABILITIES:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in relevant field preferred.Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial settings is an asset.Strong understanding of production processes and equipment.Basic knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Good communication and teamwork skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Proficiency with computer systems and software used in process control.What we offer you:Competitive remuneration.A truly inclusive, high functioning & supportive team environment.The opportunity to make a real difference in the local community.We are looking for a safety-focused team player who has a desire to become a highly valued member of our small operations team.
