We put the customer and our community at the centre of all that we do, ensuring our services are efficient and accessible.The Senior Advisor Organisational Development is responsible for delivering a variety of projects and initiatives that drive rewards and recognition and diversity and inclusion.What youll be doing:Coordinate and deliver Councils All for Hume Awards.Project manage and deliver Councils annual Hume Excellence Staff recognition event.Provide support to the Organisational Development Officer in the ongoing delivery of service milestones recognition.Progress implementation of the organisation-wide Reward and Recognition Framework to design, develop and implement a local recognition toolkit.Finalise Diversity and Inclusive Governance Framework memberships for relevant Working Groups and the Governance Group in 2025.Build momentum and support the Diversity and Inclusion Working groups to coordinate activities on the Working Groups respective work plans.Prepare and finalise reports for the Diversity and Inclusive Governance Group and Executive Leadership Team meetings.Deliver Organisational Development owned activities as defined in Councils Gender Equality Action Plan 2021-25, and the Diversity and Inclusive Governance Framework Working Group work plans for 2024/25.Finalise an Inclusion Toolkit for leaders to support ongoing awareness and education of inclusive practices in the workplace.Aligned to organisational development activities, gather feedback and assess effectiveness to make necessary improvements.The skills and experience youll bring to the role:A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology or relevant discipline, and several years of subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant qualifications, knowledge, training and/or experience.Demonstrated experience designing and delivering a wide variety of programs and initiatives that positively influence leadership capability, diversity and inclusion, organisational effectiveness and/or employee experience.Strong skills in the ability to diagnose issues and design, develop and deliver appropriate organisational development solutions that are flexible and sustainable, taking into consideration diverse and evolving needs.Well-developed research, analytical and project management skills, including scoping, planning and implementing projects and effectively coordinate allocated budget, tracking and reporting on expenditure.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present reports, briefings and submissions to develop the desired outcomes, as well as the capability to coach, motivate and influence stakeholders effectively.Proven ability to be agile, customer-focused and collaborative to establish and maintain positive relationships within a team, and with the organisations leadership and staff at all levels.Why Hume City Council?A leader in local government, were committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative work environment that is guided by our values:Were better, every day: We give things a go and value progress over perfection.
