Our fun and dynamic environment means our employees are constantly surrounded by unique experiences as well as a high-performing team of innovators, and we need one more.Job DescriptionLife in the fast laneThis is a full-time, permanent position, based at our head office in St Kilda.Reporting to the Division Manager - Operations, you will oversee safety, risk and compliance for AGPC and its events, ensuring a safe working environment.Additionally, you will:Lead health, safety and wellbeing initiatives, fulfilling obligations across corporate, event and venue operations including employees, contractors, partners, third parties, the public and construction safety.Develop and implement a comprehensive safety strategy for AGPC and all its stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance requirements.Maintain a comprehensive risk and hazard register for all sites and events to record, track and monitor strategies and actions for mitigating risks and resolving hazards or incidents.Monitor and review safety performance and provide advice and guidance on the safety outcomes of AGPC and its event programs.Prepare and present reports (both technical and non-technical), submissions, briefings, and correspondence.Provide leadership to safety employees, overseeing operational and event safety, ensuring effective resource utilisation.What you''ll bring to the role:Tertiary qualifications in Safety, such as a diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S).Significant demonstrated experience in health and safety. Related experience in event management, sport management, emergency management and/or public health and safety is highly regarded.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate health and safety requirements, and translate from risk and safety management system.Experience with the Lucidity Safety Management System (SMS) is highly regarded.Refined planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.Capacity to positively manage unanticipated problems while keeping calm.A current Police Check and Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee), or be willing to obtain.At AGPC, we value work-life balance and want to drive change in our work environment too.
