Credera is the technology consultancy that sits within the Omnicom Group of companies, as such we are seeing potential growth from local and international clients requesting a range of capabilities.Heres What You Will Do:We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused QA Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products, improving testing processes, and the ability to translate requirements into actionable test plans and scripts. This role requires a blend of technical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to both manual and automated testing practices. In your role, you will be part of client teams, large and small, and expected to operate with an agile mindset and communicate with a range of seniorities to help deliver our clients project and business outcomes.Hours:This is a permanent full-time role within our Consulting function. However, we do consider flexible ways of working that allow the best outcomes for our team. Some extended hours will be required once a week or once a fortnight to support release and deployments late evening.Location:This role offers hybrid working: Office-based on a 3 out of 5 days basis. While Sydney is the home location, there is flexibility to work from our offices in Melbourne and other capitals. Occasional travel to Canberra may be required.Responsibilities:Test Planning and Execution: Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications and systems. Ensure thorough testing coverage and adherence to quality standards.Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.Automation: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and coverage of testing processes.Stakeholder Engagement: Build good relationships with stakeholders to understand their challenges and needs. Facilitate regular meetings and communication to keep stakeholders informed of status and updates.Reporting: Monitor and report on testing progress, outcomes, and system health metrics for projects, identifying trends and patterns, feeding the KPI framework.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance testing quality and efficiency.Who You Are:Technical CapabilityProven experience as a QA Consultant or Tester with a passion for quality assurance and playing a part in delivering exemplary digital CX.Knowledge of core testing processes: Define, implement, and run manual and automated testing processes with associated reporting and proactive quality management approaches.Experience with automation testing tools and associated code familiarity, particularly Selenium, or others such as Appium or Ghost Inspector, and the ability to develop and maintain automation scripts.Responsible owner of testing deliverables, comfortable with being performance-driven, able to drive efforts to pro-actively identify and resolve defects.Ability to liaise between business units and technical teams, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration.Analysis and Problem Resolution: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities. Escalate issues as necessary.Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey messages and concepts clearly and effectively, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.Stay updated on testing tools & techniques (e.g. testing on newer frameworks such as node.js, open source tools such as Mocha), and integrating with best practice CI/CD methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).Attributes5+ years in a systems integrator or consulting organization.Worked in a client-facing environment.Demonstrates a Continuous Improvement mindset.Willingness to learn new consulting disciplines and best practices.Likes the challenge of reporting against targets, and the role of technology in delivering business outcomes.Works effectively and managing pressure in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, dynamic environment.You must be an Australian Citizen for this role due to our client base.Examples of working in support of critical software testing services and ensuring high availability and reliability.Background in Quality Assurance and Test Management, including experience with test planning, execution, and defect management.Qualifications / CertificationsBachelors degree in technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.ISTQB Certification (optional).Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionQuality AssuranceIndustriesBusiness Consulting and Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
