We are seeking an experienced and passionate Finance Manager to join our team in Cairns Nth QLD.Reporting to the CFO who is based in Brisbane head office you will be responsible for managing the full accounting function and ensuring accurate and timely management and statutory reporting for the business. You will also assist with month and year end accounting, providing financial analysis for the business. Your exceptional leadership skills will see you guiding and coaching a small team of finance professionals as well as administrative support services to achieve business results.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation & provision of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial reports & budgets to management including variance analysis.Assisting the team with end of month activities including but not limited to retail stock reconciliations, prepayments and accruals, and other balance sheet reconciliations as well as other financial tasks.Prepare and submit statistical and compliance reports to state and federal government departments and external auditors as required.Identify and analyse areas for improvement relating to business systems, processes, and procedures.Identify and analyse industry trends and maintain systems or databases with information from competitors and market movements.Analyse and report on supply costing, wholesale pricing and competitor wholesale and retail pricing.Ensure efficient and effective general administration support across the broader operation including Operation support and reception activities.Recording & reporting.Preparation of daily cashflow, variance reporting and margin analysis for the group and broader executive team.Leading a team and demonstrating high standards of leadership conduct at all times to manage, develop, and motivate your team to achieve business outcomes.Act as a change agent in order to achieve more robust systems and reduce manual input or probability of errors in inputs.Your Qualifications & ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Accounting, Economic or Business Commerce.A CPA, CA, or CIMA qualification.Five years'' experience in a similar role.1-2 years demonstrated people leadership experience.Working knowledge of AIFRS, Australian GAAP and Taxation requirements.Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Excel.Your Skills & AttributesWell-developed communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.Ability to produce meaningful reports.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Previous experience working with Navision ERP (preferred but not essential).A flexible attitude that will grow and change with the business.Excellent attention to detail.Demonstrated reliability, stamina and integrity.Ability to work as part of a friendly and close-knit team.About UsTrinity Petroleum Services Pty Ltd distributes Mobil fuels and lubricants to both the retail and wholesale markets throughout North Queensland.
