With 15+ years of excellence in construction, client partnerships, and sustainable solutions, this is a chance to join a fast-growing, dynamic business.This hands-on role involves overseeing financial operations, driving strategic decisions, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure project and financial success.Offering up to $130,000 + Super (flexible for exceptional candidates), the role reports directly to the CEO and requires on-site work with occasional travel to project sites.Responsibilities:Project Financial Management Manage project performance, including job costing, GP tracking, WIP reporting, and unearned revenue, while ensuring accurate financial tracking with project managers.Budgeting & Forecasting Develop budgets, update cash flow forecasts, and provide financial insights to support decisions.Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements; ensure compliance with BAS, IAS, FBT, and payroll tax regulations.Leadership & Collaboration Mentor junior finance staff and work with operational teams to streamline processes.Strategic Advisory Advise the CEO on financial strategies to enhance business growth and performance.Accounts Management Oversee AP/AR to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, payments, and healthy cash flow.Project Profitability Reporting Create reports on project profitability, identifying ways to optimise performance and control costs.Tax & Audit Compliance Maintain records for audits and liaise with external accountants for account reconciliations.Supplier Management Review supplier accounts annually to optimise credit terms and cut costs.Process Improvement Enhance financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.What were looking for:A qualified accountant (CPA/CA or equivalent).Strong understanding of project accounting, including WIP reporting and cost control.Proven experience in financial management within the construction, manufacturing, or asset management industries.Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modelling).Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Jonas Premier, or similar).Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Ready to take the next step in your career?
