We are 100% owned by First Nations Traditional Owners, we are focused on engaging ethnicity & delivering diversity across our business, and we would like you to join us on our journey.Job DescriptionAbout the role:Develop and implement training and development strategies, plans, initiatives and programs to drive professional development opportunities.Manage and conduct workplace training and assessment consistent with Training Management Plan and Training Policy, providing training and assessment to head-office staff, management, operators and maintenance personnel ensuring compliance with Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).Work with management and human resources to identify gaps in training, align training programs and recommend additional programs or materials.Externally source or develop and customise training modules based on the specific needs of different departments, ensuring relevance and applicability.Develop and drive training programs, particularly Indigenous training programs to further champion Indigenous engagement at Eastern Guruma.Develop and/or support other training programs such as Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Internships as may be required.Engage with external training providers, particularly registered training organisations (RTOs) to support as may be required with training delivery.Ensure training materials align with regulatory requirements, such as safety standards, compliance laws, and company guidelines.Support document and version control of site training materials and ensure they are up to date with legislative requirements.Manage Eastern Guruma Training Management Systems being ELMO - Training and STEMS.Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for employees, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational requirements.Track, monitor, and report on training outcomes, including employee performance, engagement, and competency improvements.Prepare regular reports for senior management detailing the progress and success of training initiatives.Audit training records for completion and compliance.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you:Bachelor''s Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV in Health and Safety, Training or EquivalentAt least 5 years'' experience in a training role preferably in Mining, Civil or Construction IndustryConduct frequent site visits (60% Perth Head Office, 40% site) as requiredMust have Training and Assessment (TAE40116) qualifications or greaterMust have Plant Operational experienceMust have Working at Heights and First Aid certificationsMust have an HR, MR or HC licenceExperienced in designing, planning, developing,implementing and delivering training programsProven knowledge in Quality Management Systems requirementsFamiliar with FMG, RTIO and BHP processes and requirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in MS Office SuiteJoin a team where your skills make a difference!
