Our Warehouse Assistant will report directly to our DC Operations Supervisor to assist in all aspects of our Distribution Centre.Full time Position - Work hours Monday - Friday from 7am to 3:30pmKEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe role includes Picking, Replenishment, Despatch, Receiving, Online and other areas of the National Distribution Centre.To assist the DC Operations Supervisor with all areas of the DC and maintain Operations when the DC Operations Supervisor is unavailable.Help to ensure all Store orders, stationary and online orders are waved and processed daily as required.Assist with managing the receipt of all Import and local stock.Ensure all short-picks and WMS errors are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.Oversee the daily cycle counts required to maintain inventory accuracy, including reconciling variances.Facilitate re-tickets & Online returns with the DC Administrator.Assist in ensuring New Store opening stock is picked, consolidated, and dispatched in time for opening day.Assist in training existing and new team members.Ensure all equipment used in the Receiving Area is checked and in safe operating condition prior to use.Ensure all safety procedures are understood and adhered to by the DC Team Members.Ensure general housekeeping requirements are met and the warehouse is always clean and tidy while conducting regular safety audits where required.ARE YOU THE BEST FIT?Previous Warehouse Experience is essential.Forklift (LF) & Stock/Order Picker (LO) license required or willingness to obtain both.An ability to undertake repetitive heavy lifting.Demonstrated effective communication and leadership skills.Ability to oversee, lead and develop a team.Good analytical and problem solving skills.Demonstrated ability to delegate and upskill team members.Knowledge of RF technology, WMS and ERP systems are highly desirable.PERKS OF WORKING FOR JEANSWESTJeanswest is a growing heritage brand with an amazing work culture and a supportive environment where you can really flourish in your career.50% OFF PRODUCT - We believe our team are the heart of everything we do so we love to reward you starting with a generous discount off new product.PROGRESSION - Supportive and collaborative team environment with many pathways to the wider Jeanswest business.
