We are currently seeking a Tyre Fitter at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.About the role:As an OTR Tyre Fitter, youll play a vital role on the maintenance team by ensuring equipment is operationally ready to meet production targets. Reporting to the Tyre Bay Supervisor, youll deliver a safety-focused and high-quality service to Peabodys mining equipment, helping to keep our fleet running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Mechanical maintenance and tyre repairs on light, medium, and heavy vehicles performed in a safe and productive manner;Tread depth measurements, pressure readings, and inspections on all heavy earthmoving Mobile Equipment;Actively participate in effective shift changeovers and shift Pre-Starts;Complete a detailed written handover at the end of each shift;Be an active participant in the Continuous Improvement Program;Conduct site hazard reports;Minimise production downtime in the event of breakdowns and scheduled maintenance by using effective shift planning techniques.The lifestyle:This position is offered on a 7/7 roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO, or FIFO lifestyle. Camp accommodation is provided.
