About the RoleOur Black Star Pastry Sydney CBD store is a busy, thriving success, and we are looking for an experienced Store/Cafe Supervisor to partner with our team and get in on the action leading our busy store, located in The Galeries.This gorgeous space has its own unique identity whilst still offering the full range of Black Star Pastrys signature cakes, together with specialist products, and first-class coffee from our partner St Ali.Day-to-day, your responsibilities will look like the following:Provide hands on leadership within the store, overseeing all direct employees ensuring that they are trained in all store processes, standards and expectations.Communicate position expectations and monitor employee performance including coaching, counselling and disciplining employees in partnership with the Store Manager.Ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.Complete weekly rosters in a fair and consistent manner and within budget requirements.Maintain workplace cleanliness and WHS standards, establishing systems to ensure levels are consistent and acceptable, communicating clear expectations to the team.Ensure quality of service by maintaining consistent standards, analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends and recommending system improvements.Perks & Benefits of joining the BSP TeamA competitive salary of base plus super, and additional discretionary benefits along the way.Birthday day off! 1 additional annual leave day per year.Birthday cake! 1 complimentary 4-portion cake of employees choice.1 day of personal leave able to be taken for mental health & wellbeing.Free, confidential counselling, support and advice.About You2-3 years leadership experience in hospitality.A talent for mentoring others you love to lead by example.Passionate about the customer experience and product quality.Ability to connect with customers and provide an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment.Problem solving and critical thinking skills.Demonstrated capability to multi-task your organizational skills will be a strength.Motivated and positive team player.Strong communication skills.Authentic and down to earth with a genuine love of people.Love of cake a bonus!About the BusinessBlack Star Pastry opened its first boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and since then we have grown into an institution in the Sydney landscape.We are most famous for our Strawberry Watermelon Cake which has become a social media sensation, with the New York Times declaring it the worlds most instagrammed cake.About the CultureBlack Star Pastry fosters a fun and inclusive culture that has brought together a group of highly engaged and collaborative team players who enjoy a hands-on, fast-paced environment.Our leaders are empowered to contribute and play an active role in the bigger picture stuff as well as the day-to-day.We love the brand, and we love what we do!To be considered please APPLY NOW by submitting your resume and cover letter. #J-18808-Ljbffr
