This role is important to us as it ensures the safe transport of our residents on outings and visits, the maintenance of our residences and the upkeep of our gardens.Shift: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 08:00am to 16:00pm.We provide a supportive and enjoyable work environment, with modern facilities and the equipment and resources needed to excel in your role. Education specific to aged care is provided.If you are attentive and have excellent decision-making skills and passion to improve our residents daily life, this role is for you!You will be supported and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us. You will work with a great team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents enjoyment of their life every day.Key Responsibilities:The Bus Driver is responsible for transporting our residents and others to various outings / locations / appointments.The Bus Driver is responsible not only for safety and skillful driving, but also being able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with residents, volunteers and staff.Performance of beginning-shift vehicle inspections before departure and record in log book.Complete risk assessment for each bus route on schedule with all stops, including parking.Transport residents and other passengers - two days per weekObey all traffic laws to ensure passengers arrive to their destination safelyMaintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle at all timesMeet safety, quality, and hygiene standardsAssist passengers with getting on and off the bus as neededSkills/Requirements:Current NSW Driving Licence Class LR (Light Rigid)Some experience in maintenance would be highly regardedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritise tasks and work semi-autonomouslyExperience and understanding of Legislative requirements for Essential Services and WHS requirements for maintenance & repairsA positive, proactive approach and be well presented at all timesKnowledge of the aged care industry will be favourably consideredCurrent Police Check and valid working rights.As a MHCG employee, benefits you''ll be able to take advantage of include:Employee recognition and benefitsMentoring by Senior LeadersEmployee Assistance ProgramDiscounted Childcare rate for Moran Employees at Discover My World Childcare.Training and development OpportunitiesIf you are searching for a rewarding career opportunity, please apply today.At Moran Aged Care, we are committed to reflecting the diverse community we serve and creating an inclusive and respectful workplace for all employees.
