Add expected salary to your profile for insightsKenshaw Electrical, an ARA Group company, requires an experienced Machinist/Fitter to join our team, working in our Workshop Division based in Cardiff (NSW). The main function of this role is to perform fitting and machining tasks working on electrical motors and equipment that is used in the mining and industrial space.Kenshaw has been established for over 25 years and prides itself on a strong team culture whilst providing excellent service for its customers. The workshop division is in a strong growth phase and this role would be an integral part of this growth.There will be a requirement to sometimes do overtime, work on weekends, and be on-call.The applicant should have the following:Minimum of 3 years post qualification experienceMust be able to identify and rectify faulty and worn componentsRead, understand and interpret technical drawingsQuality Assurance dimensional checking, reporting, and customer requirementsUndertake and complete work to Australian, Industry, and Company standardsHave a high attention to detailWorking alone with minimal supervisionFlange management and machining experienceStrong commitment to WHS policies and proceduresCommitment to compliance, including health and safety measures of both the Company and customers, including undertaking additional training when requiredValid driving licence (manual vehicle)White CardWorking at Heights and Confined Space CertificatesWelding experienceWorking knowledge of computers and Microsoft OfficeProduce high quality drawings or CAD experienceCapable of working autonomously and/or in a team environmentRequired SkillsThis role would suit a self-motivated Fitter/Machinist who has worked on motors and the like. The incumbent will be capable of working with minimal supervision, have a high attention to detail, and provide excellent workmanship. A high level of customer service skills is required for this exciting opportunity.
