We are seeking strong, energetic, reliable and dedicated individuals to join our Golf Course Maintenance department.Lora Bay Golf Club is looking for Landscape Gardeners to join their team.Key ResponsibilitiesGolf course set up for daily playGeneral mowing with specialist hand held equipmentMaintenance of all bunkers; raking, edging, minor construction and maintenance of other hazards such as water features.Repairing wear and tear caused by golfers and animalsAttending to drainage problemsRemoving early morning dew and debris from all playing surfacesRepairing divots and edging irrigation headsPreparing ground for and establishing turfAssist with any projects that are done on course; sodding, drainage, tree workAssist with any cultural practices that are necessaryMaintaining golf course furnitureCommunicating effectively and keeping management informedUnderstanding roles and responsibilitiesOpportunity to learn other pieces of equipment during the summer monthsUse of hand tools; lawn mowers, rakes, shovelsRequirements and QualificationsMust hold a valid Ontario driver''s license.Detail orientedAvailable to work early morning hours, weekends and holidaysAble to work in a team environmentWork in changing weather conditionsPrevious golf or landscaping experience an asset but not essentialKnowledge of maintenance equipment an asset but not essentialHigh regard for Health and Safety for self and othersBenefits of Working at Lora BayGreat people, beautiful location, safe and fun work environment!Paid training!Free golf!Staff (and friends and family) discounts on meals, rooms and golfStaff parties, $$ rewards and recognition program$500 for referring fellow team members and earn $ for bringing in business*Contract completion bonus**Some conditions apply.
