We seek like-minded colleagues to join our team who are committed to these values and culture.ABOUT THE ROLESouth Gippsland Shire Council is looking to increase its casual workforce with enthusiastic and experienced outdoor staff across various positions across Council.These positions will potentially be located in Leongatha, Foster and Korumburra but may work across various locations across the shire.Council will support you to succeed in your casual role by providing opportunities for training across the software, systems and processes used within the organisation.Hourly rates start from $42.52.Availability Monday to Friday roles:Open Space (Parks & Gardens) Team Members (including Vegetation and Street Beautification)Key responsibilities of this role include horticulture or tree maintenance work, operating plant or equipment including chippers, chainsaws, mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, blowers, spray equipment, traffic management, and if required, Elevated Work Platform (EWP).Roadside & Natural Reserves Team MembersKey responsibilities of this role include ground works; undertaking tree management and vegetation maintenance works; implementing weed control activities and constructing and maintaining infrastructure in Council Bush Reserves and Rail Trails.To be successful in these positions you must be physically fit to undertake labouring work outdoors and have experience within a similar role. You will have an understanding of how to safely and competently undertake a range of duties including the use of plant and equipment. You will be known for your attention to detail, time management, ability to work within a team and you will also have a current drivers licence.If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a team, and providing outstanding customer service, then we''d like to hear from you.Flexibility is required and you can nominate the days you are available.
