We thrive on in-person connection to strengthen relationships, innovate, and solve challenges together.Job DescriptionAs a Claims Consultant, youll play a critical role in our Retail Life Claims team, guiding customers through life insurance claims with care, expertise, and efficiency.What will you doIndependently managing a portfolio of life insurance claims end-to-endAssess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims paymentsActive engagement of external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants as well as in house medical and legal specialists and delivering timely outcomes for our customerProvide exceptional customer service in accordance with our philosophy, policy and claims proceduresParticipate in case conferences, peer case discussions, and instructing third party service providersQualificationsDiverse backgrounds welcome Nursing and allied health, (physiotherapy, chiropracting, remedial massage or sports injury, psychology), or finance, legal, or accounting experience to deal effectively with financial planners and self-employed individualsOr a Background in Income Protection claims, TPD claims, Group LifeCustomer-focused mindset Strong communication, empathy, and decision-making skillsPassion for guiding recovery Experience in rehabilitation, return-to-work programs, or crisis managementHigh Attention to detail Ability to navigate complex processes with precisionCurious and growth-focused A commitment to continuous learning and professional developmentYoure accountable, resilient, and solution-focused always striving for the best outcomes for customers and partners.Were looking for talented individuals with the relevant transferable skills and knowledge who want to join in our mission of being by your side for life to positively impact Australians.Additional InformationTAL is one of Australias leading life insurers, committed to inclusion, diversity, and career growth.
