Program OfficerClerk Grade 7/8 - $110,266 - $122,058Full-Time Temporary to 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extensionSydney location with hybrid working weekly attendanceThis role sits in the Business Operations team within Government Shared ServicesAbout the teamThis newly established teams purpose is to support the delivery of the strategic roadmap to consolidate and harmonise shared services operations and systems across the NSW public sector.Involving the consolidation of ERP systems and processes, IT service and incident management and travel and expense management, the program will lead to a better employee experience and enable more efficient sector mobility. Additionally, common, streamlined and efficient processes will allow our people to better focus on our customers.The Program Officer will perform program/project management and support activities to ensure that this program and its elements align with the strategic goals of the government and the organisation. In the initiation phase, you will work closely with the program lead, senior executives and program stakeholders to ensure that the program and associated projects are established with standardised execution.Your day-to-day:Reporting to the Program Management Office Lead - Government Shared Services, your role will:Support a range of projects/program applying sound project/program management principles and support the lead/s in the delivery of organisational and/or business projects.Provide support services, ensuring project and administration activities are undertaken to enable the team to complete tasks and achieve agreed outcomes on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established project/program management methodology.Coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project/program completion in line with the plans.Capture actions and decisions from working groups, committees and consultations to ensure progress and tracking of various projects/program.Prepare and maintain project/program related documentation and source and collate information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to achievement of the outcomes and identification of emerging issues.Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:Experience working in a program support role in a complex government program or similar program environment.Demonstrated program coordination experience including well developed time management and organisational skills with an ability to manage a high-volume workload.Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and initiative when working with minimal supervision and to work effectively as part of a team.Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, MS Suite, JIRA) with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and optimise their use for project delivery.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.What we need from you:An up-to-date CV and a brief cover letter outlining how your skills and experience are aligned to the role.For enquiries relating to recruitment, please reach out to Adam Baghdadi via adam.baghdadi@customerservice.nsw.gov.au.Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $110,266 base plus superannuation.Closing Date: Tuesday, 4 February 2025 at 9.59am AESTCareers at Department of Customer ServiceA career at the Department of Customer Service (DCS) gives you the opportunity to help improve government services and be part of reform that benefits people across NSW.
