About the role This role would suit candidates with experience in heavy industry sectors such as manufacturing, mining, oil, or gas or similar fields. Distribution Network experience is not essential. As the Electrical Safety Business Partner, you contribute to the Health and Safety strategic objectives by promoting culture change through strong, contemporary Safety leadership. You will provide strategic safety advice and solutions to build capability and accountability within business operational teams. This role involves developing and implementing a tailored Health & Safety Management System and encompasses offering risk management advice and activities within the business. Key accountabilities Lead and drive the electrical safety partnership with relevant internal and external stakeholders and be the go-to interface for our business when it comes to safety-related matters when working on or near our network. Provide leadership, technical advice, and solutions for Health and Safety related issues in line with the Electrical Safety Rules, Live Low Voltage Manual, Live HV Manual, Authorisation Manual and other related procedures, policies, and SWMS. Coach and build capability in-field and within stakeholders teams for key H&S activities including: Safety culture and leadership activities Change Management Risk Management Incident response, escalation, reporting, investigation, and action management Safety chats, inspections, and Fatal Risk Control Checks Relevant Electrical and Public safety Insights & reporting systems Implementation and ownership of the Endeavour Energy Health & Safety Management System. Implementation and ownership of the Electricity Network Safety Management System (ENSMS). Conduct audits, inspections, and high potential incident investigations (ICAM). Contribution to strategic Health & Safety programs (including project team membership and implementation within area of responsibility). Required Qualifications Tertiary Electrical qualification (Electrical Engineering) or Electrical Trade with significant industry experience. Post trade qualifications (e.g. WHS, Training & Assessment or similar) are desirable.
