The role is responsible for building and enabling acquisition strategy for new and existing markets. Develop, maintain and continuously improve credit policies that align with the companys risk appetite and strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure that the Credit procedures support the intent of the risk frameworks to drive sustainable growth, strengthen Member relationships and protect Capricorns margins and profits, while minimizing exposure to bad debt and maintaining an acceptable level of risk.Knowledge & SkillsExcellent people management skills with a proven track record of effective leadershipDemonstrate flexibility and ability to effectively deliver and manage changeProven experience in effective credit risk management and lending policies, regulations and proceduresExperience in various analytics tools such as SAS.Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end lending process and experience in reading and interpreting financial reports and related searchesDemonstrated knowledge of financial analysis, collateral valuation, appraisal procedures, and documentationWell developed negotiations skills and ability to analyse dataA keen desire and ability to review and implement process improvements and to establish a culture of continuous improvementStrong communication skills including the ability to establish and manage positive relationships with staff, colleagues, key stakeholders and MembersA little on life at CapricornOur community at Capricorn always comes first, and a big part of that community is our team.
