City of Parramatta have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity working as an Environmental Health Officer.About the roleAs an Environmental Health Officer you will be responsible for encouraging, promoting and where necessary enforcing standards that will enhance the health, safety and wellbeing of the community and of the natural built environment.Key Responsibilities:Investigation of customer requests in the areas of public health, food safety, environment, and pollution events.Undertaking health inspections (Food, Cooling Towers, Public Pools, Skin Penetration) ensuring compliance with legislative requirements through education and enforcement.Review of Development Applications and provision of advice concerning environmental and public health factors.Assistance and contribution to other projects operated by the Environmental Health Team.About YouWe are looking for someone with:Tertiary qualifications (bachelor or associate diploma) in Environmental Health/Science or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in environmental health or environmental science.
