Job Description

Purpose of the PositionThe Warehouse/Storeman is responsible for picking and packing items for dispatch and processing of inbound and outbound products and raw materials, and conducting cycle counts across all inventories to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner and help maintain a well-organised warehouse. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction and delivery in full on time across all customers and no non-conformances. This role requires working with the warehouse and production staff at all levels of the organisation and working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Accuracy, attention to detail, safety, and desire to exceed clients expectations is the cornerstone of this role.Key Stakeholder RelationshipsThis role will interact closely with the following stakeholders:Key Internal Stakeholders: Logistics Controller, Manufacturing Manager, General Manager, Director Michael Schmaedeke, Sales, Finance, Quality Assurance, StoremanKey External Stakeholders: All customers of Ayva, Trucking Companies on ContractKey Performance IndicatorsDIFOTNCRsKey ResponsibilitiesLoading and unloading trucks of delivery vehiclesReceiving raw materials and finished productsPicking and packing of orders / creating relevant paperworkMark and label stockStore inventory in an accessible mannerLoading and wrapping stock on palletsBuilding loads with forklift and electronic pallet jackArranging transport for deliveriesComputer entry for finished goods and receiving of goodsMaintaining material levels for machines in productionConduct regular inspections on all inventory for damage and faultsConduct regular cycle counts on all inventory and update SAP accordinglyEnsuring that incoming & outgoing products are in good conditionEnsure the warehouse is clean and organised at all timesLiaise with Sales and Customer Service & Planning with locating of inventory and reportingInventory ControlMonitor inventory levels daily and ensure in-stock levels meet customer needs and inventory parameters.Carry out inventory control, stock balances and reconciliation on finished products daily via SAP.Manage consumable materials and report shortages on time to refurbish.Liaise with planning to ensure adequate inventory levels cover sales requirements and reduce write-offs.Manage and coordinate inventory processes, systems, and reporting on all stock locations.Identify inventory discrepancies, investigate causes and resolve them.Set up min/max inventory quantities per demand.Assist sales and customer service with locating inventory and reporting.Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and safety of the warehouse.Key CompetenciesBeing Customer and outcome-focused: Using the framework set out by the business, coupled with knowledge, experience and lateral thinking to meet and exceed customer requirements.Engaging People: The communication and relationship skills required to influence people to deliver superior outcomes.Delivering Results: Focused on providing excellent and superior customer service outcomes.Key Skills and CapabilitiesExperience in inventory and/or warehousingAble to operate a forklift proficientlyStrong Problem-SolvingStrong analytical and conceptual skillsExperience in planning, executing and managing stock countsAttention to detail thorough, accurate, complete, and up-to-dateStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong customer focusResults focusedTeam player with a good dispositionHighly self-motivated, with a high degree of initiative and operates with autonomyEffective listener and communicatorAbility to operate confidently with all levels of management and build rapport with key contactsAbility to build an environment of trustDemonstrate high professional standards and work ethicAbility to influence peers so that new processes and methods are accepted, agreed upon, and followedHighly adaptableEmbrace change and be able to work under tight time framesQualification & ExperienceHSC, minimum3 4 years experience as a StoremanValid Forklift Licence, with high reach (up to 8 meters)Experience with Warehouse SAPExperience with Microsoft Office #J-18808-Ljbffr
