General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and MuseumType: full-timeLocation: Hobart, OKAbout the Organization/Business:The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum was created by General Tommy Franks and his wife, Cathryn Carley Franks, as a historical foundation dedicated to telling the story of the United States military and education. The Institute invests in the nations future leaders through several education and outreach programs including the Mobile Classroom + Road Show, the Inspired Leadership Challenge, and the Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks program.The world-class Museum is housed in a remodeled, 9,500-square-foot building in downtown Hobart, Oklahoma. The facility includes a gift shop, galleries with memorabilia and artifacts from General Franks personal collections, a traveling exhibit area, and meeting facilities.Exhibitions are ordered chronologically, following General Tommy Franks'' life and career, while also showcasing the changes in the American military from WWII to the present, as told through the lives of soldiers.The Museum also houses one of only two Medal of Honor awards in the state of Oklahoma, as well as one of the worlds largest collections of Challenge Coins.Job Title: Leadership Program ManagerThe General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum is in search of a Leadership Program Manager. The Manager is under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and is primarily responsible for programming and establishing new initiatives within the Leadership Institute. The Program Manager will assist the Executive Director in the accomplishment of the Strategic Plan and Development/Fundraising Plan.Job Duties:Carry out duties under the direction of the Executive Director for leadership programs, business development, and partnership activities.Responsible for all program activities including outreach and volunteer coordination, media relations, and public relations of special events and fundraising events.Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for the museum and leadership programming. Establish strong partnerships in the community and enhance the organizations public image to expand interest and support, locally, regionally, and nationally.Plan and oversee all events and programs under the direction of the Executive Director, including but not limited to Four Star Leadership, Midland Young Leaders Challenge, and Inspired Leadership.Assist the Executive Director in developing relationships and plans for the advancement of the organization.Accomplish all tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.Qualifications:Minimum Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience.Experience in a leadership position.Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.Proficient in writing and public speaking.Strong understanding of customer service skills.Available to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends when required.Skills:Ability to provide strong leadership, vision, and direction.Demonstrate knowledge of standards and best practices for a business, museum, and/or nonprofit.Ability to manage multiple projects to successful completion on time and on budget. #J-18808-Ljbffr
