Reports to: Office Manager/Administrative AssistantFLSA status: Hourly (non-exempt)Campus: MelbourneWe exist to glorify God by being a loving community where people are saved, set free, discipled, empowered, and sent out to fulfill their God-given calling.Job Summary:A substitute teacher shall be fully qualified and able to instruct students in a classroom environment during the absence of the regularly assigned teacher.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise students and follow the curriculum and lesson plans provided by teacher (1 Peter 5:2-3)Leave documentation for the absent teacher regarding any behavior issues, percentage completed of assigned lesson plan along with details of what was incomplete, and any noteworthy informationAbide by the rules of Calvary Chapel Academy as listed in the CCA Employee HandbookMaintain a neat and orderly classroom (1 Corinthians 14:40)Keep all personal and medical information confidential regarding students, parents, and staffBe familiar with emergency protocols as stated in the CCA Emergency Preparedness PlanOther duties as assigned by your supervisor (Colossians 3:23)Job Skills and Competencies:Must hold a minimum of an AA DegreeWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Publisher, etc.) softwarePossess good verbal and written communication skillsPossess evidence of other adequate preparation, background or experience as determined by the school administrator (1 Peter 4:10)Other Qualifications:Regular attendance at a Bible-believing churchKeep the ministry in the forefront of all you do, with a servant heart and optimistic attitude (Philippians 2:3)Conduct yourself in a manner that reinforces the core values and mission of Calvary Chapel and agree to our Statement of FaithDemonstrate a mature, ongoing personal relationship with Jesus through spiritual and moral integrityStrong commitment to the vision and mission of Calvary Chapel MelbourneHave a conviction that God has called him/her to Christian school ministryFruit of the Spirit is consistently displayed in your life, as a reflection of Gods love to colleagues and visitors (Galatians 5:22-23)Compensation: $14.00 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
