You may be based/living in Adelaide maintaining your skills in emergency medicine or anaesthesia, with a passion for supporting regional communities part-time by driving to Port Augusta once every 4-8 weeks for a 47-day rotation as part of a team of highly skilled doctors and flight nurses. You will have a passion for responsive, timely emergency care for our most isolated communities.We believe our people all of our people keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying.About YouTo be successful in this role you will be a doctor with experience in emergency, ICU & anaesthesia. You will have:Unrestricted Medical Practitioner registration with AHPRAFellowship with ACEM, ANZCA or RACGP/ACRRM with JCCA or GEMS certificationMinimum three years experience in Emergency medicine and/or AnaesthesiaMinimum 6 months training in a critical care environmentExperience in procedural skills, resuscitation and paediatricsA good understanding of and appreciation for primary healthcare, allied healthcare and your nursing colleaguesExperience supervising and mentoring consultants, registrars and medical studentsHighly developed leadership, management and communication skillsIdeally, you will also have experience in remote area medicine, along with a well-developed understanding of rural and remote Australia and the challenges of providing first-class healthcare within these environments.As part of our team, you can expect to be provided with challenging, interesting work and be supported to achieve your best.
