We strongly encourage women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people who identify as LGBTQI, people with a disability and people from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.About the roleThe Business Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, year-round operational management for Tennis Australia (TA), with a key focus on the facility management of Tennis Headquarters as well as our offsite warehouse. This role involves maintaining the office and onsite storage at Melbourne Park and supporting operations across TAs warehouse and storage locations to ensure safe and efficient operations.In this role you will:Develop and implement purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies, policies, and plans for Tennis Australia (TA), ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at Tennis Headquarters (THQ) and the Altona Warehouse while maintaining cost-efficiency.Prepare and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at THQ and the Altona Warehouse, ensuring stock is available at the lowest possible cost to support operations year-round and during the Australian Open.Assist with the monitoring and tracking of spend and any variances across the logistics and warehouse cost centres, ensuring the supply of materials and equipment aligns with Tennis Australias operational and event needs.Monitor and review storage and inventory systems at THQ and the Altona Warehouse to meet supply requirements, control stock levels, and ensure materials are managed efficiently.Liaise with other departments and stakeholders within Tennis Australia to coordinate outward goods requirements and manage associated logistics year-round.Direct and manage logistics staff activities at THQ and the Altona Warehouse, ensuring their performance aligns with operational needs and requirements.About youWhat youll bring to the role:Major sport event logistics experience is essentialDemonstrated financial management experienceCompetent computer skills with experience in the use of Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project, databases, and Barcode Systems experience is desirableExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essentialExcellent organisational, problem solving and time management skillsDemonstrate a high level of administrative skills with attention to detailOutstanding customer service and communication skills and ability to engage quickly with people from a diverse range of cultural backgroundsAbility to establish and manage professional and effective working relationships with suppliers and TA internal and external clientsYou must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children CheckWhats to love?Career development with a range of formal education and on the job training opportunitiesTickets to the Australian OpenHealth & wellbeing activities through our Thrive programOnsite gym & tennis facilitiesFlexible working practicesFree car parkingA range of discounts from our sponsorship partnersTo ApplyIf you think youre up to the challenge, wed love to hear from you!
