The evening service has an informal style with contemporary worship music led by a handful of youth and young-adult musicians. We currently have two guitarists, two drummers, a bass player and eight singers. The service starts at 5pm, with around 40 adults and 20 teens/kids attending each week.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinating the music team. You will need to run a pre-service practice from 3:45pm each Sunday and help the other musicians develop their musical ability and teamwork.Playing a lead instrument. We need someone who can take the lead musically on either keys or guitar. As we already have two guitarists the preference is for keys.Music Selection. Select the music each week, in consultation with the minister, and introduce new songs as appropriate.Key QualificationsThe role will suit a committed Christian with good interpersonal skills and a passion for music. The successful candidate will have experience serving in a church band. They will be reliable and self-motivated.
